Senior Software Engineer (Team Lead)

Responsibilities

• ▹During the first three months, work as a hands-on senior engineer: ship production code and learn the Interaction Core systems and text-based connectors end-to-end
• ▹Lead the Nexus team, shaping the systems and features behind text-based connectors and data flow
• ▹Manage a distributed 6-person team of staff, senior and entry-to-mid-level engineers (Tartu, Estonia and Poland)
• ▹Delivery and architecture: translate ambiguous goals into prioritized work, unblock the team, set technical direction and drive long-term architectural decisions
• ▹People and mentorship: run 1:1s, manage performance and coach project leads
• ▹Establish AI-assisted coding workflows, review standards and guardrails so output scales without compromising quality
• ▹Stay hands-on alongside leadership (about 60% leadership and 40% coding after the ramp-up)

Requirements

• ▹Design of complex components, sound tradeoffs and risk spotting
• ▹Trusted delivery: a track record of reliable outcomes, de-risking projects and owning quality, including verifying agent-generated code
• ▹Project leadership through others: partnering with PMs from idea to delivery and growing project leads in the team
• ▹Applied AI fluency (core requirement): using tools like Claude to design, build, review and ship, directing agents and verifying their output
• ▹Fast learner who absorbs new tools and practices quickly and naturally mentors others
• ▹Leadership instincts: setting direction and unblocking people without micromanaging

Nice to have

• ▹Prior tech lead, team lead or mentorship experience, with a background in performance management
