A Senior Deterministic Safety Analysis (DSA) Engineer role on a team performing thermal-hydraulic, transient, containment, and stability analyses for the BWRX-300 reactor.

Stack

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects covering Anticipated Operational Occurrences, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Reactor Heat Balance, and Thermal Hydraulic Fuel Channel Analyses
  • Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in Containment, HELB, Fire Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses
  • Perform plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in BWR stability
  • Deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level per customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods
  • Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations
  • Perform technical verification of engineering deliverables
  • Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions
  • Work in cross-disciplinary settings with mechanical design, core design, licensing, and systems design teams to find optimum customer solutions
