Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and operate integrated HPC and AI platforms on AWS, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance for engineering design workloads
• ▹Design and implement cybersecurity controls in partnership with Compliance teams to meet U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) Export Control requirements
• ▹Lead platform reliability by troubleshooting systemic issues and driving scalable, long-term solutions that improve cost efficiency and operational performance
• ▹Apply AI/ML techniques to optimize infrastructure utilization, workload performance, and day-to-day operations
• ▹Deliver architecture roadmaps aligned to product rollout needs and business outcomes, contributing to GE Vernova's long-term compute strategy
• ▹Mentor and develop team members, leading blended teams that include third-party partners and cross-functional collaborators

Requirements

• ▹10+ years in cloud infrastructure or systems architecture
• ▹Hands-on experience designing and operating AWS Cloud environments
• ▹Strong background in Linux administration, automation, and software deployment
• ▹Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools
• ▹Knowledge of HPC schedulers, storage systems, and networking
• ▹Demonstrated ability to identify root causes and resolve systemic technical issues
• ▹Experience applying AI/ML techniques for infrastructure optimization or operational improvement

Nice to have

• ▹Experience producing architecture roadmaps and guiding enterprise-level solution design
• ▹Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent quality or process improvement credential
• ▹Demonstrated change management capabilities in complex, matrixed organizations
• ▹Experience working within U.S. Export Control regulated platforms and implementing associated cybersecurity controls
