Staff Software Engineer – AI & Automation

Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and build the foundational platform enabling business users to create, deploy, and manage internal applications and agents without engineering support
• ▹Own the end-to-end design of the platform, from infrastructure and hosting to self-service interfaces and guardrails
• ▹Establish patterns, integrations, and building blocks connecting to core enterprise systems
• ▹Work closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into platform capabilities
• ▹Operate as a senior technical voice within a small, high-autonomy team, helping set architectural direction

Requirements

• ▹Extensive track record as a Senior, Staff, or Principal Engineer owning greenfield platforms and distributed systems
• ▹Deep production-scale GCP (compute, networking, IAM, managed services), Kubernetes, and Helm (multi-tenancy)
• ▹Proficient in Go (primary), with comfort in TypeScript and/or Python
• ▹Hands-on GitOps, environment provisioning, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), enterprise security/IAM (SSO/Okta)
• ▹Experience integrating LLMs and agentic systems into production backends (Vertex AI, Gemini, OpenAI, MCP, or similar)
• ▹Strong API design skills and proven ability to design for non-technical users
