QA Engineer (Manual-Automation) | Mid - Senior level | NordVPN API

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Write manual and later automated tests for complex functional and integration testing to confirm acceptance criteria are met
• ▹Perform functional testing in back-end systems
• ▹Work closely with product managers, developers and other QA team members to ensure high-quality products
• ▹Support, maintain and improve related test cases
• ▹Report software defects and collaborate across multiple development teams to resolve them
• ▹Apply Agile principles in day-to-day activities
• ▹Advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team
• ▹Help identify testing strategies and drive their implementation together with the QA Guild
• ▹Help make the release process as smooth as possible while maintaining the highest quality
• ▹Train and mentor less senior team members
• ▹Bring your own ideas and initiatives

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience in quality assurance (frontend, backend, web application testing)
• ▹Experience with Postman and Playwright
• ▹Experience in test case design and management
• ▹Familiarity with management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
• ▹Quick understanding of complex technical systems
• ▹A desire for quality in every aspect of the shippable product
• ▹Experience with Agile/Kanban (or similar) methodologies and working in dev teams
• ▹Good verbal and written communication skills, written and spoken English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with virtualization, GitLab and Jenkins
• ▹Familiarity with micro-service based architectures
• ▹Experience with Jest and Axios
• ▹Experience using NodeJS
• ▹Experience with Docker, Postman, BrowserStack/BrowserStack connect and Figma
