Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Remote – LATAM Based)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and implement fast proofs of concept (POCs) for LLM automation: prompt engineering, LLM-based workflows and/or agents for processing complex documents with legislation (digitally native or scanned, including tables and figures)
• ▹Implement solutions with multimodal VLMs (e.g. GPT-4o vision, Mistral OCR) for OCR and accurate data extraction from tables
• ▹Ensure quality by following CI/CD practices strictly and integrating features properly
• ▹Design prototypes for challenging business problems with a focus on scalability and continuous improvement
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements
• ▹Test, evaluate and prompt-engineer models to improve the accuracy and performance of response systems
• ▹Support other technical duties, e.g. technical interviews for other ML and AI positions and high-level design of AI/ML solutions during pre-sales
• ▹Stay updated with advancements in generative technologies and incorporate best practices
• ▹Document processes, learnings and outcomes

Requirements

• ▹Software engineering degree or similar, with excellent software development skills and above-average engineering and AI skills
• ▹Experience implementing LLM workflows (e.g. wizards integrating multiple LLMs, applications that take human feedback into account) and/or agents using Langchain and OpenAI models
• ▹Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in AWS infrastructure
• ▹Experience developing AI solutions in Python using OpenAI models and building quick UIs with Streamlit
• ▹Excellent prompt engineering skills
• ▹Experience with Agile methodologies
• ▹Experience in multidisciplinary development teams (frontend, backend, PM, QA)
• ▹Master-level skills in Python and Git
• ▹Excellent written and spoken communication in English
• ▹Proactivity and creativity

Nice to have

• ▹Proven experience developing production-ready applications with voice-to-text and text-to-voice interfaces
• ▹Experience in traditional NLP (before LLMs)
• ▹Experience using MLOps tools such as MLflow to monitor AI/ML solution performance
• ▹Vibe coding experience in tools like v0.dev for generating baseline UIs for POCs
• ▹Experience in other fields of machine learning (deep learning, predictive models, recommendation engines, time series analysis, computer vision)
• ▹Experience doing live demos for customers
• ▹Experience implementing good MLOps practices
• ▹Test-driven development for AI/ML solutions
• ▹Previous client-facing positions
