Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow a team of engineers, setting expectations and giving direct feedback
• ▹Own the team's technical strategy and multi-quarter roadmap
• ▹Support the tech lead and engineers through technical design and cross-functional alignment
• ▹Own availability, reliability, and performance of consumer-critical systems, including on-call and incident response
• ▹Keep the team shipping in small increments with clear, accountable owners
• ▹Partner across Product, Design, and Analytics
• ▹Drive hiring and onboarding to grow a diverse, high-performing team

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing and growing engineering teams
• ▹Proven experience delivering consumer-facing software and driving execution through ambiguity
• ▹Track record of managing performance directly
• ▹Technical judgment to guide architecture, quality, and reliability decisions
• ▹Experience leading significant technical initiatives end-to-end, ideally re-platforming consumer-facing systems
• ▹Familiarity with modern full-stack development: declarative UI frameworks like React or React Native, backend-for-frontend
