Mainframe Application Architecture

Responsibilities

• ▹Define, assess and prioritize modernization roadmaps, taking cost and risk into account
• ▹Design software frameworks, systems and products, conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, and identify and resolve framework design weaknesses
• ▹Provide technical leadership to the application development team, perform design and code reviews and maintain uniform enterprise-wide application design standards
• ▹Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements
• ▹Create and maintain documentation on the software architecture, application design processes, component integration and testing guidelines

Requirements

• ▹Architectural experience of large customer change and transformation projects
• ▹In-depth knowledge and experience of hardware and software, including connectivity between platforms

Nice to have

• ▹The Open Group Master Certified Architect (or equivalent)
• ▹Prior hands-on experience working in a mainframe environment
• ▹Experience in mainframe projects of the Modernize On, Integrate With and Move Off types
• ▹Strong understanding of z/OS and IBM software products as well as third-party mainframe software
