PhD Thesis: Data and AI to Assess Mobile Network Vulnerability to Climate Change

Responsibilities

• ▹Identify and represent relevant data from heterogeneous, multi-domain datasets
• ▹Define and measure vulnerability indicators covering site physical characteristics, operational complexity in crisis situations, and dependence on power and road networks
• ▹Develop predictive models despite the small number of representative historical events
• ▹Enrich available data using generative AI techniques (GANs, variational autoencoders) to produce varied, realistic and plausible crisis scenarios

Requirements

• ▹Solid knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning and deep learning
• ▹Strong foundation in mathematical and statistical modeling
• ▹Knowledge of heterogeneous data analysis and data fusion
• ▹Good knowledge of telecommunications networks
• ▹Proficiency in a scientific programming environment, ideally Python
• ▹Ability to formalize a research problem and propose robust methodological approaches
• ▹Final year of an engineering or master's degree in data science, machine learning or mathematics

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of critical infrastructure resilience topics
• ▹R&D internship experience in machine learning and generative AI
• ▹Strong AI competency combined with interest in telecom networks
