Senior Python Engineer (DevEx Team, Remote)

Responsibilities

• ▹Improve performance, optimize database queries, and enhance scalability
• ▹Configure monitoring and observability, and establish best practices
• ▹Manage and develop internal libraries
• ▹Improve the development pipeline (e.g. code coverage tooling) with the DevOps team
• ▹Maintain code to high quality standards
• ▹Design and implement features end-to-end
• ▹Code, debug, test and continuously deliver features and improvements
• ▹Provide code reviews, assistance and constructive feedback to teammates

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of commercial experience building Python backend services and web APIs
• ▹Solid software architecture skills
• ▹Experience with distributed systems
• ▹Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data architecture, including PostgreSQL
• ▹Experience with the Flask framework
• ▹Experience in performance optimization (query optimization, caching)
• ▹Understanding of integration processes with external services
• ▹Product-oriented mindset
• ▹Proficiency in English

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with ClickHouse
• ▹Experience with systems operating on large data volumes
• ▹Experience designing AI-enabled developer environments
• ▹Experience writing raw SQL queries
• ▹Experience designing and leading major reworks of complex distributed systems
• ▹Experience with Rust
• ▹Passion for Bitcoin and blockchain technologies
