Responsibilities

• ▹Monitor, maintain and support Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and AWS Redshift environments on-premises and in the cloud
• ▹Design, implement and maintain database maintenance jobs (backup, restore, patching, indexing)
• ▹Maintain data lifecycle and introduce archiving and purging processes
• ▹Analyze and optimize query performance, indexing strategy and resource utilization
• ▹Act as database subject-matter expert for MES systems, ensuring required resources, performance and stability
• ▹Enforce database security compliance and lead database updates and migrations
• ▹Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for database projects, using Git-based version control
• ▹Participate in incident and problem management within IT SLA

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise environments
• ▹Hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and AWS Redshift
• ▹Solid understanding of SQL query optimization, database design, high availability, and disaster recovery
• ▹Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
• ▹Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• ▹Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
• ▹At least 3 years of experience supporting mission-critical production systems
• ▹Good written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice to have

• ▹Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, SQL, Python)
• ▹Background in manufacturing, MES or industrial IT environments
• ▹Experience with Always On, clustering and replication
• ▹Infrastructure-as-Code or DevOps practices
• ▹Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools
• ▹Familiarity with ITIL incident, problem and change management processes
