C Software Engineer – Linux/UNIX System Interface (Cyber Security)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop and maintain C-based applications in Linux/UNIX environments
• ▹Work with system-level interfaces (POSIX APIs, processes, file systems, sockets)
• ▹Develop and enhance Kerberos authentication systems and related tooling
• ▹Maintain and improve internal implementations of open-source technologies such as OpenSSH
• ▹Monitor performance, debug and optimize low-level system components
• ▹Build automation tools to streamline administrative and operational processes
• ▹Improve and maintain CI/CD and deployment automation pipelines
• ▹Collaborate with engineers, product owners and stakeholders on authentication strategies

Requirements

• ▹Strong proficiency in the C programming language
• ▹Deep understanding of Linux/UNIX system programming and system interfaces
• ▹Solid experience in network programming
• ▹Good knowledge of security concepts (authentication, authorization, cryptography)
• ▹Experience working in controlled enterprise environments
• ▹Practical experience with Perl and Python
• ▹Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
• ▹Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly
• ▹Strong teamwork skills in a distributed environment

Nice to have

• ▹Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as Jira
• ▹Experience contributing to UNIX/Linux-based open-source projects
