IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Operate and develop the Microsoft-based infrastructure, and handle admin tasks related to Microsoft online services
• ▹Manage and maintain Active Directory systems
• ▹Operate antivirus, monitoring, log-collection and backup systems
• ▹Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot physical and virtual servers, network devices, storage systems and other IT systems
• ▹Handle second-level (L2) incident resolution, troubleshooting and support tasks
• ▹Participate in development and rollout projects affecting the IT infrastructure
• ▹Manage, test and document backup and recovery processes
• ▹Keep IT documentation up to date
• ▹Work closely with development and architect teams to ensure efficient operations
• ▹Propose improvements to processes, efficiency gains and adoption of new technologies
• ▹Liaise with partners and suppliers

Requirements

• ▹Secondary education
• ▹Communicative English, especially professional terminology, plus native-level Hungarian
• ▹Minimum 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
• ▹Thorough knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
• ▹Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V)
• ▹Knowledge of network protocols and devices (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN)
• ▹Knowledge of server hardware and storage solutions
• ▹Experience with IT security solutions

Nice to have

• ▹Relevant IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Linux+)
• ▹Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS)
• ▹Automation and scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
• ▹Kubernetes platform operations
• ▹CI/CD knowledge, pipeline oversight
