As a Data Engineer at Starschema you deliver business value through end-to-end development, optimization, and operation of automated reporting, data lakes, and related software platforms. You will work with technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, and AWS. Starschema is hiring experienced medior and senior professionals for this role.
Responsibilities
- ▹Build and maintain database/big data clusters
- ▹Build dashboards for infrastructure management and reporting
- ▹Design and deploy infrastructure management strategies to meet uptime and monitoring SLAs
- ▹Deploy code releases in QA and PROD
- ▹Participate in building unit/performance/integration tests with database developers
- ▹Participate in the database SQL optimization plan
- ▹Deploy configuration and automation tools to remove manual steps in deploying, upgrading, and scaling systems across environments
Requirements
- ▹3-8 years of experience in data engineering
- ▹Solid knowledge of SQL and Python
- ▹Professional level of English (written and oral)
- ▹Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
- ▹Experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Git (or another version control system)
