SIM Engineer I

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, validate, and maintain electrical and logical profiles for SIM and eSIM products
• ▹Develop Java Card applets for SIM/eSIM services, complying with 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards
• ▹Create and update technical documentation (applet specifications, test plans)
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mobile core networks, security, device vendors)
• ▹Support development, testing, and integration of SIM-based applications and tools
• ▹Use smart card test and trace tools to ensure quality and performance
• ▹Participate in technical reviews, troubleshooting, and team meetings

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline
• ▹3+ years of relevant experience in telecoms technology or connectivity
• ▹Proven experience with SIM/eSIM technologies and protocols (APDU, ISO 7816)
• ▹Knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, and GSMA standards
• ▹Experience with Java, Java Card, or scripting languages
• ▹Familiarity with mobile network elements and smart card technologies
• ▹Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; quality-focused and self-motivated
• ▹Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Git, Postman, or smart card test tools (e.g., Comprion)
• ▹Exposure to Kanban/Agile methodologies
