Responsibilities

• ▹Carry out project work at the client, plus operations and further development
• ▹Work through complex architecture and security questions and translate the chosen strategy into concrete solution building blocks, on both the configuration and implementation side
• ▹Turn the design into a realisation and write the matching rollout instructions
• ▹Act as third-line support: the person to go to for knowledge
• ▹Devise and fully design tactical solutions for the client (integrations, migrations, security, required performance)
• ▹Help other teams with automation, passing on knowledge and training others
• ▹Automate manual tasks
• ▹Operate, scale and further develop VMware-based cloud environments, including automated engineering workflows and VM deployments
• ▹Develop, test and implement automation using CI/CD tooling and best practices
• ▹Carry out upgrades (new component versions) and updates (patches)
• ▹Logging, monitoring and optimisation of the environments
• ▹Release management, capacity management and setting up operational processes
• ▹Write documentation and articulate concepts clearly

Requirements

• ▹Automation with Red Hat Ansible (CKA certification required)
• ▹Automatic provisioning of IaaS and PaaS services
• ▹Knowledge and experience of Terraform and Argo CD, Secure by Design
• ▹At least Red Hat Linux RHCSA and RHCE certification
• ▹5-8 years of experience in the technical management of private cloud environments
• ▹Familiarity with hosting (IaaS and PaaS), high availability, high performance, scalability and security best practices
• ▹Good scripting skills, especially Ansible, PowerShell, Python, YAML, JavaScript
• ▹Security techniques and encryption
• ▹Zoning and segmentation concepts for applications and data
• ▹Version control: GitLab and Git client
• ▹Dashboarding and virtualisation
• ▹Supporting tooling for monitoring, logging, antivirus, etc.
• ▹Compute, network and storage design concepts
• ▹Container technologies (Kubernetes)
• ▹Experience with CI/CD tools
• ▹Dutch nationality and a Dutch passport (required to work for the Ministry of Defence)
• ▹Able to speak and write Dutch

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Nutanix
