Responsibilities

• ▹Carry out the project work at the customer, as well as its management and further development
• ▹Handle complex architecture and security questions, translating the chosen strategy into concrete solution building blocks on both the configuration and implementation side
• ▹Turn designs into realization and draw up the related rollout instructions
• ▹Answer third-line questions and devise tactical solutions for the customer (integrations, migrations, security, determining required performance)
• ▹Help other teams with automation, passing on knowledge and training others
• ▹Articulate documentation and concepts clearly
• ▹Automate manual tasks
• ▹Develop and manage the VMware vRealize Automation application that provides self-service cloud portals to users
• ▹Develop and manage automated engineering workflows and VM deployments on VMware-based application platforms
• ▹Maintain and scale all VMware-based cloud application platforms
• ▹Develop, test and implement automation using CI/CD tooling and best practices
• ▹Technical setup and management of the (cloud) environments
• ▹Carry out upgrades and patches
• ▹Logging, monitoring and optimization of the environments
• ▹Release management, capacity management and setting up management processes

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years of experience in technical management of private cloud environments
• ▹Familiarity with several of the following products, technologies and domains, applied regularly: automation with Red Hat Ansible, automatic provisioning of IaaS and PaaS services, enterprise databases, Secure by Design
• ▹Minimum Red Hat Linux RHCSA certification
• ▹Familiarity with hosting (IaaS and PaaS), high availability, high performance, scalability and security best practices
• ▹Knowledge of management processes
• ▹Good scripting skills, especially Ansible, PowerShell, Python, YAML, JavaScript
• ▹Security techniques, encryption, zoning and segmentation concepts for applications and data
• ▹Version control (GitLab and Git client)
• ▹Dashboarding and virtualization
• ▹Supporting tooling for monitoring, logging, antivirus, etc.
• ▹Compute, network and storage design concepts
• ▹Container technologies (Kubernetes)
• ▹Experience with CI/CD tools
• ▹Experience with Nutanix
• ▹Dutch nationality and Dutch passport, required to work for the Ministry of Defence
• ▹Ability to speak and write Dutch

Nice to have

• ▹Certifications in the areas above (certification is a plus)
