Customer Engineer, India (Based in Mumbai)

Responsibilities

• ▹Technical Validation: lead technical discovery, build bespoke architectures, deliver demos and PoCs with Account Executives
• ▹Trusted Advisory: maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders across the entire customer lifecycle
• ▹Strategic Alignment: own the long-term technical relationship, aligning customer goals with the product roadmap
• ▹Commercial Accountability & Expansion: carry a variable quota tied to new business and account growth, identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities
• ▹Lead technical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) translating capabilities into ROI for C-level executives
• ▹AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: use AI agents to automate routine tasks (RFPs, security questionnaires, sandbox provisioning, telemetry)

Requirements

• ▹Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering, Forward Deployed Engineer)
• ▹Broad technical expertise in web security, networking (routing, DNS, DDoS mitigation), cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture
• ▹Track record in a quota-carrying or revenue-aligned environment with SaaS metrics knowledge
• ▹Exceptional presentation and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with Cloudflare's developer platform and AI ecosystem, especially Workers AI and AI Gateway
• ▹Experience with prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
• ▹Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or similar languages for integration scripts, API connectors and edge functions
