Software Engineer, AI Product (Canada)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement AI-powered features, integrating LLMs with Vanta's existing products and systems
• ▹Collaborate with product engineers across Vanta on AI-driven product adoption
• ▹Build evaluations, guardrails, and monitoring, reviewing customer usage to improve quality
• ▹Collaborate with AI Platform engineers on foundational AI systems and tooling
• ▹Make pragmatic tradeoffs across business priorities and technical sustainability
• ▹Mentor engineers and champion a collaborative engineering culture

Requirements

• ▹At least 7 years of industry experience as a software engineer
• ▹Shipped LLM-backed products; experience with prompting, RAG, and/or agent frameworks
• ▹Experience designing and scaling full-stack applications (backend, APIs, frontend)
• ▹Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and Node.js, or willingness to learn
• ▹Experience improving AI systems and building eval sets
• ▹Mentoring experience
• ▹Experience at rapidly scaling startups and large companies
