Senior Machine Learning Scientist, Borrowing

Responsibilities

• ▹Own ML applications end-to-end from experiment design and data curation through deployment and monitoring
• ▹Develop credit risk models and optimise utilisation, pricing, collections and marketing
• ▹Work closely with Credit Strategy Managers, Model Validation Analysts, backend engineers and product managers
• ▹Innovate on data, methodology and tooling to build models faster and better

Requirements

• ▹Excellent SQL and Python skills, software and data engineering best practices
• ▹Deep knowledge of statistical and ML models: gradient boosted trees, logistic regression, neural networks, survival analysis
• ▹Solid statistics knowledge: hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, bootstrap
• ▹End-to-end ML model development and maintenance experience for business-critical consumer decisioning
• ▹Excellent communication skills for articulating complex problems

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in UK/EU retail lending
• ▹ML model governance experience in a regulated industry
• ▹Experience leveraging modern AI tools for productivity
