Responsibilities

• ▹Design and build scalable web applications using modern backend and frontend technologies (e.g. Rails, Node.js, React or similar)
• ▹Develop and maintain APIs and backend services that support product functionality
• ▹Build reusable frontend components and contribute to shared UI libraries
• ▹Improve and modernize existing systems to enhance performance, scalability and maintainability
• ▹Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• ▹Mentor engineers and support the professional growth of teammates
• ▹Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
• ▹Support reliable deployments by debugging issues and collaborating with DevOps and QA teams
• ▹Participate in sprint planning, grooming and retrospectives
• ▹Contribute to improving engineering standards, tooling and development practices

Requirements

• ▹Strong experience designing and building production web applications
• ▹Experience working across both frontend and backend systems
• ▹Experience with modern web frameworks (such as Rails, Node.js, React or similar)
• ▹Experience building APIs and backend services
• ▹Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• ▹Strong understanding of software design principles and maintainable system architecture
• ▹Experience working in Agile development environments
• ▹Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance
• ▹Ability to work effectively with distributed teams

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building scalable Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications
• ▹Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Next.js or similar
• ▹Experience with backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Node.js or similar
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
• ▹Experience with observability, monitoring or performance tuning
• ▹Experience working with experimentation or analytics tools
