Responsibilities

• ▹Define the technical roadmap for AI-native applications, ensuring LLM integrations are scalable, cost-effective, and reliable
• ▹Design and implement complex agentic systems and RAG patterns for hyper-personalized financial experiences
• ▹Set canonical standards for AI development at Nu, promoting reusable components
• ▹Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to embed LLM capabilities across mobile, web, and internal tools
• ▹Establish rigorous evaluation (QA) and monitoring practices to ensure AI output safety and accuracy
• ▹Participate in hiring and mentoring, fostering a high-performance culture within the internal AI Academy

Requirements

• ▹Track record as a lead delivering high-impact, large-scale software systems
• ▹Professional experience implementing LLMs, generative AI features, or RAG patterns in production
• ▹Full-stack thinking: maintainable codebases and API designs bridging model inference layers with user-facing surfaces
• ▹Experience navigating ambiguous projects requiring coordination across multiple business units
• ▹Strategic acumen linking technical AI initiatives to core business drivers like efficiency and customer acquisition

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Python-based AI toolchains
• ▹Experience with Flutter (mobile) or cloud-native infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
• ▹Background in FinTech or highly regulated industries where responsible AI and privacy matter
• ▹Experience scaling products across diverse international markets and languages
