Junior Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain Sifflet's cloud infrastructure (mostly AWS, with compatibility for GCP and Azure)
• ▹Maintain and improve the data pipeline, making new data sources available to the analytics team
• ▹Design and implement monitoring strategies and improve service performance
• ▹Design and build product features related to network connectivity with monitored sources (e.g. a network agent, the Terraform provider)
• ▹Own internal developer tooling and platforms (on-demand environments, CI runners, logging pipelines, feature flag services)
• ▹Help ensure the security of Sifflet's systems and deploy security best practices

Requirements

• ▹Less than 3 years of experience (new graduates welcome)
• ▹Software engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience
• ▹General knowledge of web architecture, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure
• ▹Willingness to work across Python, Java, and Go codebases
• ▹Takes ownership of projects from design through to production

Nice to have

• ▹Prior experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar infrastructure tools
