A Staff Software Engineer role at GitGuardian, owning the technical vision of the engineering organization by driving architectural decisions and mentoring engineers while staying hands-on with development.

Responsibilities

  • Drives architectural decisions, technical strategy, and best practices across the engineering organization
  • Mentors and guides engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence
  • Collaborates with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions
  • Conducts code reviews, provides constructive feedback, and ensures adherence to coding standards
  • Identifies technical challenges and proactively proposes solutions
  • Stays up to date with the latest technologies and best practices, applying them to products and processes
  • Does hands-on software development
  • Maintains excellent code quality and a healthy codebase
  • Supports the growth of the engineering teams through 2026

Requirements

  • Track record of effectively leading technical initiatives and collaborating with multiple teams in an organization of at least 100 people
  • Strong background in fostering cross-functional skills across engineering teams
  • Fluency in English
  • Technical environment: Python (Django), Rust, JavaScript (React), TypeScript, React Query, Jest, PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, Sentry, Grafana, Coralogix, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Terraform, Kubernetes (Karpenter, Istio), AWS, OVH, RabbitMQ, Redis
