Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the full arc of customer engagements from technical discovery to executive close: qualification, architecture reviews, engagement scoping
• ▹Build and present proposals to C-suite stakeholders with concrete, time-boxed deliverables and clear ROI
• ▹Drive deal strategy on the most strategic, six- and seven-figure enterprise accounts
• ▹Serve as executive technical sponsor on the region's highest-priority engagements, managing stakeholders from IC engineers to C-suite
• ▹Ensure delivery quality: appropriate scoping, milestone tracking, technical standards, and clean handoffs to customer engineering teams
• ▹Escalate product gaps and integration friction back to Product and Engineering with enough specificity to drive roadmap decisions
• ▹Lead, develop, and scale a team of 6-8 Forward Deployed Engineers; hire top talent and set career growth paths
• ▹Build and scale the partner FDE track, training and holding the quality bar for GSI and consulting partners

Requirements

• ▹8+ years leading technical teams that build and ship in production (Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar)
• ▹Experience with software development and coding in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• ▹Experience building and operating AI-native workflows in production, not just prototypes, including debugging real-world model failures
• ▹Ability to diagnose a complex enterprise engineering environment quickly and identify the highest-leverage intervention
• ▹Experience building and scaling IC-level technical teams
