Responsibilities

• ▹Own end-to-end development of new customer-facing ChatGPT and OpenAI API features, both on-premises and in the cloud, for public-sector customers
• ▹Embed directly with engineering, security, and compliance teams to adapt products to the constraints of new environments
• ▹Talk to users to understand their problems and design solutions
• ▹Work with the research team to give feedback and iterate on the latest models, tailoring solutions for public-sector customers
• ▹Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, product managers, designers, and operations staff
• ▹Optimize applications for speed and scale

Requirements

• ▹US citizenship required
• ▹9+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies
• ▹Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other web technologies
• ▹Proficiency in a backend language (Python used internally)
• ▹Some experience with infrastructure primitives such as Kubernetes and Terraform
• ▹Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites

Nice to have

• ▹Interest in AI/ML (no direct experience required)
• ▹Interest in enabling public-sector use cases with unique requirements
