Solutions Engineer (Remote, m/f/d)

The Solutions Engineer is a key technical consultant and enabler for Pliant's customers and partners, helping them successfully adopt and scale the platform — leading integrations, answering technical questions pre- and post-sales, and enabling customers to use the public APIs (Pro API and CaaS). This is a remote role based in the EST timezone.

Responsibilities

  • Own technical onboarding and integrations end to end, driving timelines and go-live readiness
  • Support Sales and Partnerships (pre-sales): technical discovery, solution design, demos, RFPs, proof-of-concepts
  • Act as the integration "problem solver" during onboarding (post-sales): troubleshoot issues, reproduce problems, propose workarounds, coordinate with Product/Engineering
  • Enable and train developers and operators through workshops and training sessions
  • Build reusable assets: reference architectures, integration playbooks, checklists, internal enablement material
  • Bring customer feedback into the product loop, identifying recurring pain points

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in solutions engineering/architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting
  • Strong technical experience with APIs and integrations (REST, JSON, webhooks, OAuth/API keys, Postman/cURL)
  • Comfortable with at least one programming language (e.g. TypeScript, Python, Java) for prototypes and integration testing
  • Strong communication across demos, solution design and technical enablement, with engineers and business stakeholders alike
  • High ownership, service-oriented mindset
  • Experience building repeatable processes (intake, triage, enablement assets)
  • Experience owning complex customer/partner integrations end to end, coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • Fintech/payments/cards experience
  • Experience with ERP or accounting integrations (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, DATEV, Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Other European languages
