Principal Game Designer (Core Gameplay) - Portfolio Midcore Games

Responsibilities

• ▹Take absolute ownership of the core gameplay experience: moment-to-moment interactions, pacing, and the fun factor
• ▹Craft and iterate intensely on core action loops (combat, shooting, driving), focusing on timing, collision, and feedback
• ▹Tackle the most complex gameplay engineering challenges
• ▹Drive technical prototyping for new core mechanics, finding the right game feel before scaling up
• ▹Pitch and implement big features to the team, deconstructing them into smaller components
• ▹Own core game mechanic balancing
• ▹Deconstruct and analyze mobile game mechanics

Requirements

• ▹At least 5+ years as a Game Designer
• ▹Experience working on mobile games
• ▹Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership
• ▹Good sense of game feel and pacing with strong attention to detail
• ▹Communication skills in English, written and verbal
• ▹Actively integrates AI tools into daily workflows

Nice to have

• ▹Level design background
• ▹Mandatory professional experience in high-action, fast-paced genres (Action, Shooters, or Racing)
