Responsibilities

• ▹Prototype and experiment with new AI features together with the team
• ▹Productionize and scale asynchronous workflows across Notion's systems
• ▹Collaborate across AI, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
• ▹Stay up to date with the latest AI technologies and trends

Requirements

• ▹Experience building and prototyping AI products using LLMs, embeddings, and other ML technologies
• ▹Understanding of how systems fit together from UI to data model, familiarity with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL, experience building products from the ground up
• ▹Holistic problem-solving: starting from a clear understanding of context, thinking critically about the implications of what's being built, navigating ambiguity
• ▹Empathetic communication and collaboration: explaining nuanced ideas clearly in writing and in real time, engaging thoughtfully in disagreements
• ▹Impact orientation and user focus: prioritizing projects by business impact, balancing craft, speed, and the bottom line

Nice to have

• ▹10+ years shipping production software, with a strong track record of owning features end-to-end
• ▹Proficiency with any part of the technology stack: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres
• ▹Experience driving teams toward shared goals, balancing business priorities with individual strengths
• ▹Interests outside of technology, such as art, history, or social sciences
