GTM Systems Engineer, Salesforce

Ramp is looking for a Senior Application Engineer focused primarily on the Salesforce platform and integrations with the rest of the stack, within the growth engineering function, to bring architectural and engineering maturity to the business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform
  • Design and develop integrations within GTM systems and with Python-based applications
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions on iPaaS tools (Homegrown, Workato, Clay, etc.)
  • Drive decisions on architecture patterns, tool usage, and designs required to scale the solution
  • Hands-on development of applications and frameworks using Apex, LWC, and Flows within SFDC
  • Write and communicate technical specifications, including architecture diagrams, data model diagrams, process flows, and sequence diagrams
  • Own the data integrity and data assumptions in your focused area
  • Contribute to the entire stack, including Salesforce, Outreach, Workato, the homegrown Python-based integration pattern, Hubspot, Segment, DBT, Retool, Leandata
  • Work closely with the team on code reviews, on-call, and build issues

Requirements

  • 7+ years working with the Salesforce platform
  • 5+ years of experience with systems architecture and integrations
  • Experience with lead, contact, account, opportunity, and campaign management
  • Strong experience with Apex, Visualforce, Aura, and Triggers
  • Working knowledge of other programming languages like Python, Node.js
  • Strong knowledge of developing Lightning Web Components
  • Strong knowledge of APIs and integrations with Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge of synchronous/asynchronous methods, streaming API, and publish/subscribe design and architectural patterns
  • Solid understanding of version control processes (check-in/checkout/merge/pull); experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and branching strategy is a plus
  • Familiarity with the broader GTM stack beyond Salesforce (Hubspot, Outreach, Gong, Momentum, Leandata, CPQ, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of data pipelines
  • Solid understanding or implementation knowledge of CI/CD processes
  • Understanding of Salesforce governance limits and code coverage; following unit-testing best practices for positive/negative scenarios
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
