Laboratory Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and evaluate analytical and simulation models for communication networks, focused on IoT-oriented future internet protocol extensions
• ▹Develop deployable implementations of future internet protocols for agricultural research
• ▹Share reproducible models and results to support open research
• ▹Contribute to teaching with hands-on lab work
• ▹Support bachelor's and master's students in network modeling and experiments

Requirements

• ▹University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication Networks or a related field

Nice to have

• ▹Proven expertise applying future internet architectures to IoT, such as information-centric networking
• ▹Experience with open-source or reproducible simulation frameworks such as OMNeT++
• ▹Ability to build simulation models with OMNeT++ and real-world IoT protocol implementations
• ▹Ability to guide students through project and thesis work
