DESCRIPTION:

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we're seeking a Sr. Manager of Sales Operations to enhance commercial excellence and operational efficiency across our organization. You'll contribute to optimizing sales processes, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing strategic initiatives that enable our commercial teams to better serve customers. Managing a successful team, you'll collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and other key stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that support growth while ensuring operational excellence. LOCATION:

This is a remote position available for US residents in EST or CST time zones. Preference for hire in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, North Carolina or South Carolina. No relocation assistance provided.



REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/Masters Degree plus 12 years of experience in sales operations, commercial excellence, or related business functions preferred preferred

• Preferred Fields of Study: Business Administration, Science, Engineering, or related field

• Industry certifications in sales operations, project management, or process improvement methodologies valued

• 3+ years of people management experience leading cross-functional teams preferred

• Advanced proficiency in CRM systems (especially Salesforce.com) and business intelligence tools

• Strong expertise in sales performance analytics, forecasting, and pipeline management

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales incentive programs and compensation structures

• Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies

• Excellence in data analysis, visualization, and presentation of insights to executive audiences

• Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple concurrent initiatives

• Proven track record of collaborating effectively in a matrix organization

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

• Experience with sales enablement tools and technologies

• Ability to travel up to 2-3 times a year or as needed

• Knowledge of compliance requirements and business process governance

• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities

• Experience with change management and organizational development

• Ability to influence and build relationships across all organizational levels

• Knowledge of ERP systems and database tools preferred

• Foreign language skills valued but not required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Pennsylvania is $119,000.00–$177,100.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
