IT Systems Engineer – 75% Remote

Responsibilities

• ▹Stabilizing and optimizing operations of the Citrix ADC platform
• ▹Planning, administration, configuration and troubleshooting of Citrix ADC (load balancing, GSLB, gateway, AAA, SSL/TLS)
• ▹Developing and enhancing automation processes (Terraform/Ansible preferred)
• ▹Monitoring, performance analysis and second- and third-level issue resolution
• ▹Close collaboration with service management, architecture, network and security teams to implement central concepts
• ▹Change, release and configuration management
• ▹Creating, maintaining and further developing technical documentation
• ▹Taking on sub-project tasks to fulfill contractual deliverables
• ▹Participating in on-call duty
• ▹On-site troubleshooting and configuration in the data center
• ▹Analyzing and resolving tickets escalated from 1st-level support (e.g. software or hardware faults)
• ▹Performing detailed fault diagnostics, often via remote maintenance
• ▹Maintaining the knowledge base (BeWiki) and documenting ticket handling in the Maximo system

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in an IT field or recognized IT vocational training, alternatively at least 5 years of professional experience in IT
• ▹ITIL Foundation certification in IT service management
• ▹Experience operating Citrix ADC/NetScaler or comparable load-balancer systems
• ▹Experience in 2nd-level support, including incident, problem and change handling
• ▹Experience in operational implementation of changes following ITSM processes
• ▹Experience operating security-critical IT services (e.g. access systems, gateways)
• ▹Willingness to undergo SÜ2 security clearance

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible for automation tasks
