Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the delivery and architecture of the pricing system used by all products (iOS, Android, Web, API)
• ▹Work on architecture, code features and monitor release performance (Datadog)
• ▹Get fast user feedback and iterate quickly, with backend updates multiple times a week
• ▹Follow product usage and make decisions based on it
• ▹Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, frontend) to deliver seamless user experiences
• ▹Optimise existing endpoints, reduce latency and ensure the system keeps scaling

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of backend development experience with Django and Django Rest Framework
• ▹Experience with relational databases at scale: designing schemas, optimising Django queries, running migrations with minimal downtime
• ▹Experience scaling SaaS and subscription management (Stripe, RevenueCat)
• ▹Hands-on experience with a PostgreSQL/MySQL database larger than 100 GB
• ▹Experience designing endpoints in direct collaboration with frontend engineers, delivering Open API specs and developer documentation
• ▹Fluent English
