Staff Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the migration from Svelte to React, sequencing the work against product delivery
• ▹Maintain and evolve the design system together with the frontend guild
• ▹Support frontend initiatives across teams: application architecture, performance, testing strategy, developer experience and technical debt reduction
• ▹Be the bar raiser for UX and UI quality through design reviews, reusable patterns, mentoring and technical writing
• ▹Find where agentic tooling improves engineering practice and shape the codebase so it works well for people and agents alike
• ▹First 90 days: map the frontend architecture, propose one cross-team initiative, then lead a systemic improvement

Requirements

• ▹Experience operating at Staff scope and shipping systemic frontend or product-engineering improvements across multiple teams
• ▹Deep frontend expertise: TypeScript, component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, performance, testing
• ▹Daily use of AI coding tools and a considered view of agentic workflows
• ▹Product judgment: turning ambiguous workflows into pragmatic user experiences
• ▹Systems thinking across frontend, backend, APIs, infrastructure, observability, security and compliance
• ▹Fluent English, written and spoken
