Senior Data Engineer – Real-Time Analytics

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, architect, and deliver scalable, low-latency streaming platform solutions for near real-time data
• ▹Analyze business needs and translate them into data models, optimizing for big data
• ▹Identify slow queries and optimize for better performance
• ▹Write clean, scalable code in Scala, Python, and SQL, and test and deploy applications and systems
• ▹Solve challenging data problems in near real-time using optimal architectures, frameworks, and query techniques across structured and unstructured sources
• ▹Contribute to product and platform performance optimization and live site monitoring
• ▹Mentor team members through actionable feedback

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science or mathematics)
• ▹3+ years of experience with near real-time analytics
• ▹5+ years of experience with a modern programming language (Scala, Python, Go, TypeScript)
• ▹Experience designing complex data processing pipelines
• ▹Experience with data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
• ▹Experience with AWS Redshift

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with query optimization
