Microsoft Azure (Fabric Platform) Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and implement Microsoft Fabric platform foundations, including capacities, workspaces, OneLake, environment structures, and platform configuration
• ▹Establish and manage DEV, TEST, and PROD environments and deployment strategies
• ▹Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and other automation technologies
• ▹Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
• ▹Implement security, identity, and access controls using Microsoft Entra ID and RBAC
• ▹Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure services and broader cloud platforms
• ▹Develop reusable automation and deployment patterns to ensure consistency and scalability
• ▹Support monitoring, logging, operational readiness, and platform governance
• ▹Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to enable workloads and remove platform barriers
• ▹Produce technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks
• ▹Provide technical leadership and guidance on Fabric platform architecture and engineering practices

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of Azure Cloud Engineering experience
• ▹Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• ▹Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and its core platform components
• ▹Experience implementing Fabric capacities, workspaces, and OneLake
• ▹Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience
• ▹Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and cloud security controls
• ▹Experience designing and managing Fabric environments across DEV, TEST, and PROD
• ▹Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and operational best practices
• ▹Experience automating cloud platforms using PowerShell and/or Python
• ▹Experience working within enterprise cloud environments
• ▹Good understanding of data platform concepts and how data workloads consume cloud infrastructure

Nice to have

• ▹Azure certifications
• ▹Terraform, DevOps, or cloud platform certifications
• ▹Experience establishing a Microsoft Fabric platform from the ground up
• ▹Experience with Fabric REST APIs and platform automation
• ▹Experience integrating Fabric with Azure services
• ▹Understanding of data ingestion workloads and notebook-based solutions within Fabric
• ▹Experience working in regulated or governed cloud environments
• ▹Exposure to FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices
