A Vienna-based role supporting international, multidisciplinary project teams in building modern data architectures and scalable data pipelines. The position involves hands-on implementation of cloud-based data platforms - primarily Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Azure - as well as developing Power BI-based dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, building and further developing modern data architectures and scalable data pipelines for clients
  • Hands-on implementation of cloud-based data platforms, focused on Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Azure cloud services
  • Developing robust data models and building interactive, insightful Power BI dashboards to support business decisions
  • Supporting the development of modernization strategies and roadmaps to migrate outdated data silos to modern, cloud-based platforms
  • Helping make clients' data architectures 'AI-ready', building the technological foundation for integrating machine learning and GenAI use cases
  • Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, strategy consultants and cloud experts in an agile project environment

Requirements

  • A completed university degree in business informatics, computer science, data science, mathematics or a related field
  • A motivated graduate or 1-3 years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence or data architecture
  • Practical experience or solid knowledge of modern data platforms and tools (ideally MS Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse)
  • Good knowledge of data modeling as well as SQL and preferably Python (or PySpark)
  • Confident use of Power BI for data visualization
  • Negotiation-level German and English, spoken and written

Nice to have

  • Strong interest in AI enablement and an understanding of how data must be structured to optimally train and deploy AI models
