UPS Field Service Engineer

In the UK, our Electrical division plays a critical role in supporting customers across key industries, including rapidly growing hyperscale data centre environments. We are now looking for a UPS Field Service Engineer to join our UK team, working flexibly from anywhere in the country. In this role, you will provide expert service to Eaton customers by maintaining and repairing UPS systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in line with Eaton’s safety standards. You will play a key role supporting hyperscale data centres, delivering high-quality technical expertise across our customer base. ## What you’ll do: * Diagnose faults on UPS systems * Demonstrate a strong understanding of on-line and line-interactive UPS systems * Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing installed base * Perform repairs on all types of UPS systems, including standalone and parallel configurations * Set up and configure remote monitoring software * Communicate with key stakeholders on technical matters * Adhere to anti-static policies and procedures * Apply the ECN process to all repairs ## Qualifications: • Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent ## Skills: • Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge • A good understanding of UPS systems • Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as: Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP • Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA or process control ## What we offer: * Exposure to varied customer environments * A strong safety-first culture * Ongoing technical and professional development * A collaborative and inclusive working environment All positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
