Your Role Kyndryl Consult is the fastest-growing business within our organization and instrumental to our strategic growth objectives. As a Consult Partner in Core Enterprise and zCloud, you will play a pivotal leadership role guiding multidisciplinary teams through complex consulting engagements. You will create and position strategic modernization agendas across the C-suite for Kyndryl's largest enterprise accounts, operating at the critical intersection between complex business goals and core enterprise IT solutions. Leveraging deep expertise in mainframe environments and application modernization, you will lead high-impact client interactions across both pre-deal and post-deal transaction cycles. You will drive profitable practice growth, maximize team utilization, ensure flawless delivery oversight, and serve as an executive trusted advisor guiding clients through end-to-end core infrastructure transformations. What You Will Do Drive profitable growth for the Core Enterprise & zCloud practice by leading business development, proposal creation, and commercial fee negotiations that hit signings, revenue, and margin targets. Serve as an executive trusted advisor to client CXOs and IT leaders, articulating complex modernization roadmaps and securing strong customer references. Architect and lead large-scale core enterprise and mainframe modernization engagements from initial readiness assessments through post-deal implementation and execution. Identify operational and architectural inefficiencies across legacy ecosystems, formulating strategies to integrate hybrid cloud, DevSecOps, and agile frameworks with core infrastructure. Oversee end-to-end delivery quality and engagement governance, ensuring high client satisfaction, proactive risk mitigation, and optimal team utilization. Cross-position the full breadth of Kyndryl capabilities to generate holistic, enterprise-wide transformation opportunities. Champion people leadership by mentoring multidisciplinary consulting teams, fostering a collaborative culture of continuous learning, curiosity, and high performance. Required Skills and Experience Demonstrated track record in IT Consulting or IT Management Consulting, with proven success driving business development, revenue growth, and delivery excellence. Proven ability to build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with C-level and senior IT executives, generating referenceable client relationships. Extensive experience assessing client challenges, establishing modernization visions, and guiding complex transformation strategies. Solid technical knowledge across Cloud, DevSecOps, Mainframe, and Agile/Scrum delivery models to optimize modern enterprise architectures. Deep understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern application development principles. Consultative leadership style with the ability to create demand and position multi-practice technology solutions. Professional working fluency in both German and English (written and verbal). Preferred Skills and Experience Deep technical familiarity with IBM Z, IBM i, and adjacent private/public cloud and midrange environments. Hands-on knowledge of modern integration patterns, including desktop, browser, and mobile interfaces connecting to IBM Z and IBM i systems. Proven track record in the creation, definition, and presentation of consulting patterns for Mainframe Application Modernization. Active certifications in major hyperscaler platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or recognized enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
