ABOUT THE ROLE As a Backend developer, you will play an influential part in the development and deployment of software components that help realize Bright Machines Vision of Software Defined Manufacturing. You will create scalable software systems that drive our cloud-based performance monitoring, KPI dashboard and command/control systems on the factory floor. We have a passion for bringing together cross functional teams to creatively solve problems. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Write basic linux bash scripting to automate software installation. Create containers according to project or software needs to facilitate his job. Write intermediate level of workflows (Bright Machines Platform, Temporal framework). Develop, maintain and optimize backend services, APIs and microservices. Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective and timely fixes. Write clean, maintainable and well documented code. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards and best practices. Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps and product teams to deliver high-quality features. Design and implement integrations with third-party systems and internal platforms. Contribute to improving system performance, scalability and reliability. WHAT WE WANT TO SEE 3+ years of experience as Python developer or similar Intermediate Linux knowledge. Advanced Python. Experience building and consuming REST APIs. Solid understanding of relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis). Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. Strong debugging, problem-solving and analytical skills. Troubleshooting related.
