Our partner is looking for a Software Architect | AI Engineer – Arquitetura e Integração based in Brazil. We are looking for an experienced Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of enterprise technology architectures, with a strong focus on microservices, distributed systems, and hybrid and multicloud integrations. In this role, you will define architectural standards that ensure security, scalability, resilience, high availability, and effective API governance. You will shape API-first, event-driven, and serverless solutions while connecting cloud platforms with legacy enterprise systems. A key part of the position will be designing AI-first architectures, enabling the integration of AI agents and tools into engineering workflows and corporate applications. You will also guide development and DevOps teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and establish best practices for observability and governance. Design microservices-based and event-driven architectures for distributed enterprise systems. Establish API-first, serverless, and event-driven architecture patterns. Develop strategies for scalability, resilience, high availability, and system performance. Design integrations across Azure, Huawei Cloud, and legacy enterprise platforms. Define security standards covering authentication, authorization, certificates, and token-based access. Guide the selection and implementation of relational and NoSQL database technologies. Establish messaging and asynchronous integration patterns using appropriate technologies. Design architectural standards for integrating AI agents and tools with corporate systems. Evaluate Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI tools, and agent orchestration mechanisms. Define observability, traceability, and governance practices for agent-based solutions. Provide technical guidance and architectural direction to software developers and DevOps teams. Document architectural decisions, technical risks, trade-offs, and recommendations. Requirements: Strong professional experience in software architecture and distributed systems. Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js. Hands-on experience designing and implementing microservices architectures. Knowledge of API-first, event-driven, and serverless architecture patterns. Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent messaging technologies. Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases. Experience with Azure API Management and API architecture. Understanding of token-based and certificate-based authentication mechanisms. Strong knowledge of high availability, security, scalability, and system resilience principles. Excellent documentation and communication skills, particularly when explaining architectural decisions and technical trade-offs. Ability to provide technical direction and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Desirable qualifications: Experience with Huawei Cloud API Gateway and Huawei DMS. Knowledge of GaussDB for PostgreSQL and GaussDB for NoSQL. Experience with Azure Cosmos DB. Familiarity with integrations involving SAP and Datasul. Experience with agentic systems and AI-first architecture. Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP). Familiarity with Tool Calling, Context Engineering, and AI agent orchestration.
