Join us, grow with us, and together, let's shape the future of biological discovery. ‎ About the opportunity In this role, you work at the interface between IT and production, ensuring stable, secure, and well‑connected IT/OT systems in a manufacturing environment. You collaborate closely with production teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to solve system connectivity issues, support production‑related applications, and contribute to the continuous development of IT/OT infrastructure. Your work directly supports reliable manufacturing operations and the successful delivery of IT/OT projects. Your tasks include * Working closely with production teams to jointly develop solutions for IT/OT topics and resolve system connectivity issues. * Providing hands-on technical support and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify, analyze, and solve IT/OT incidents. * Contributing to IT/OT infrastructure activities, including OT network configuration, VLAN management, machine interfaces, and system documentation. * Supporting the further development and stable operation of MES and other production‑related systems. * Collaborating closely with internal departments such as IT, SAP, Operations, and Production, as well as with external service providers, to successfully deliver IT/OT projects. Your profile * You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering (Automation), Computer Science, or a comparable qualification (e.g., technician training in automation, electrical engineering, or IT). * You bring experience with network connectivity of Windows-based systems, system integration, and troubleshooting connectivity issues in production environments. * You have solid knowledge of machine connectivity protocols and interfaces (e.g., OPC) for PLC and MES integration. * You understand cybersecurity requirements in regulated manufacturing environments (an advantage). * You demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, structured way of working. * You communicate effectively and enjoy working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. * You are fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
