Position: Bilingual Portuguese STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type: Contract Compensation: $50–$54/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 20+ hours/week Role Responsibilities Write expert-level prompts in Portuguese across specialized scientific topics. Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy and helpfulness. Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations. Strengthen model handling of sensitive content in Portuguese . Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines. Qualifications Must-Have PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field. Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese . Business-level written English . Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques. Sound judgment around scientific safety and dual-use information. Preferred Based in Portugal or Western Europe . Expertise in radiochemistry , nuclear chemistry , or related fields. Depth in subfields like organic synthesis , molecular biology , or virology . Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling. Experience reviewing or red-teaming technical content.
