Develop engineering standards for AI/GPU data centers and liquid cooling. Provide technical oversight for new builds, retrofits, and operational improvements. Perform engineering due diligence for new colocation facilities. Support Site Operations, Deployment, Construction, and Design organizations. Own infrastructure specifications, documentation, and governance. Develop engineering talent and succession planning. Drive reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Key Metrics:  Standardized engineering across all sites. Reliable support of rapid expansion. Reduced infrastructure incidents. Scalable engineering organization supporting growth. Review existing assets for compliance to our standards. What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean: BS in Engineering or equivalent. 10+ years mission-critical data center engineering. 5+ years leading engineering teams. Experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, liquid cooling, UPS, generators, and AI infrastructure. The salary range for this position is based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.
