Full Stack Engineer (C#/React)

Frontend Developer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Edinburgh

Rockstar is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its Online Services team in Edinburgh, working on backend APIs and React front-end features that power connected experiences across Grand Theft Auto Online and future titles, in a full-time, in-office role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop backend functionality for scalable server APIs using .NET 8/ASP.NET Core (C#)
  • Integrate front-end applications with backend processes
  • Create front-end features and applications using JavaScript (ReactJS)
  • Optimize application performance
  • Collaborate with other Rockstar technology teams across worldwide studios

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional software development experience at an enterprise level organization
  • Technical expertise in C# and proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with React experience
  • Solid experience with T-SQL
  • Experience with source control, preferably Perforce
  • Knowledge of Agile software development processes
  • Knowledge of software development best practices and web security best practices
  • Great communication skills as part of an internationally-based team
  • Passion for web technologies and staying up to date with the latest technologies

Nice to have

  • Experience with event streaming (Apache Kafka) or message brokers (RabbitMQ)
  • Prior experience with Redis, MongoDB, and automated testing
  • Experience with modern .NET (.NET 6 or later)
  • Experience authoring for mobile devices
  • Experience working on high-traffic, responsive websites and applications
  • Exposure to Elasticsearch and Python
  • Knowledge of Rockstar's game titles and passion for playing video games
