Senior Backend Engineer II - Europe Account (Wise)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build, and maintain high-performance, scalable tools and services using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, cloud technologies, etc.
• ▹Build account-level features, such as tax payments or savings account products, for European markets
• ▹Collaborate with product managers to turn business requirements into technical solutions
• ▹Mentor junior engineers, offering technical guidance and conducting code reviews
• ▹Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy for the Regional Expansion Tribe
• ▹Contribute to the engineering culture through knowledge sharing and best practices
• ▹Work with the product team on customer interviews

Requirements

• ▹Experience using Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies to build high-performance, scalable systems
• ▹Senior-level backend development experience
• ▹Ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with product managers
• ▹Mentoring experience and code review skills
