Web Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain the public-facing website monzo.com
• ▹Ensure the site scales for international expansion
• ▹Build the component library
• ▹Maintain the content management system
• ▹Work closely with the Product Manager and cross-discipline peers
• ▹Identify and scope opportunities for impactful projects
• ▹Contribute to every stage of the product development lifecycle, owning new features end-to-end
• ▹Work with other engineers to scope and build functionality supporting new frontend features

Requirements

• ▹Enjoy building products in cross-disciplinary teams using an iterative, user-feedback and data-driven approach
• ▹Care deeply about user experience
• ▹Interested in building performant, secure, scalable web experiences and UI that's easy to use
• ▹Enjoy diving into dashboards and metrics to make impact-driven decisions
• ▹Enjoy working in a large front-end codebase with many stakeholders
• ▹Understand the importance of prioritization to balance velocity and code quality
• ▹Experience with modern component-oriented JavaScript apps (React, Vue, Angular, Flow/TypeScript, Webpack, etc.)
• ▹Keen learner who enjoys sharing knowledge
