Senior Backend/Applied AI Developer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, test, and build new backend solutions while evolving and maintaining existing systems
• ▹Create scalable, reliable services that power real impact for construction teams
• ▹Incorporate LLM-powered capabilities into the product and the team's developer workflows

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of hands-on experience building high-quality software, with strong command of C#, Go, or another modern backend language
• ▹Skilled in architecting and building scalable, distributed systems, able to clearly articulate design decisions
• ▹Extensive experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and designing for performance and reliability (PostgreSQL or Redis experience is a bonus)
• ▹Product-driven, cross-functional experience, having deployed and maintained services in production
• ▹Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor or Claude Code
• ▹Stays current with the latest technologies and practices, shares knowledge generously

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with applied AI and LLMs — having built real things using Claude, OpenAI, or other major LLMs, not just experimented in a notebook
• ▹Production LLM integration: designed backend systems that integrate LLM capabilities into production workflows
