Staff Security Analyst, Customer Assurance

Security Engineer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Bellevue +3

Staff-level analyst on Okta's Customer Assurance team, serving as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering/product security teams, owning security questionnaires and due-diligence requests, and training global sales teams on security topics.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the critical bridge between Okta's customers and internal Engineering/Product Security teams
  • Translate deep-dive engineering specifications and vulnerability reports into clear, risk-based narratives for customers
  • Act as the primary security advocate for Field Account Teams on Okta's security posture, roadmap and incident response
  • Own highly technical security questionnaires and due-diligence requests end-to-end, including Federal/FedRAMP customers
  • Drive AI and automation strategies to scale Customer Assurance workflows globally
  • Train regional Go-To-Market and Sales teams on standard engagement protocols
  • Develop and maintain security collateral, FAQs and field communications with Security Trust & Culture and Regional CSOs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years information security, project management, or related experience
  • Strong fundamental understanding of core security principles, architectures and operations
  • Understanding of IT and cloud methodologies, privacy, identity management, risk assessment and IT compliance standards
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to engage in whiteboard-level security discussions with customer CISOs and architects on cloud infrastructure, API security and encryption

Nice to have

  • Okta Certified Professional/Administrator
  • Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK) and/or Certificate of Cloud Auditing Knowledge (CCAK)
  • Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA)
  • Experience with generative AI tools or process automation platforms
  • Familiarity with Federal or highly regulated compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, StateRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD IL4/IL5/IL6)
